Extreme viewpoint

These aren’t terribly extreme and are more about the subject than the photography, but there you go.

Composing with color

This was an in-class assignment to shoot pictures with color as a primary design element. We went out just as the sun was setting, so it got increasingly hard to shoot without a tripod.

Arguably this composition is more about line than color, but I’ve always liked the way yellow road paint looks in evening light.

By this point it was very dark, but using a short focal length helped capture enough light. I used a super long exposure here — a sixth of a second — but was surprised the wobble wasn’t too bad.

Assignment 1: Choose three favorite images of my own creation. I’ve been a bit lazy perhaps and only dug back through the past year, but I quite like these three travel pics.
